Sloane Kins

I’m Sloane Kins, and I’ve been doing Model UN since freshman year. Now a sophomore, I have participated in a few out-of-school conferences that have developed my passion for this incredible program. In my free time, you’ll find me playing basketball and volleyball—two sports I absolutely love. I’m on both school teams and have been playing basketball since 4th grade. I also enjoy spending time with friends and going to the beach in the summer. My favorite season is winter because of skiing, snow, and Christmas time. I am also Latvian (a small country in the Baltics). This summer, I participated in Latvian folk dancing and performed in Toronto. I’ve also attended a Latvian-speaking summer camp for as long as I can remember. I am so thrilled to take on the role of chair head this year and can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together!
